Societies
Extracurricular activities are the elixir of the education process. The institute has a host of societies from which the student can choose and obtain membership. The students of IILM have to join at least one of these societies, with a maximum of three according to their areas of interest.
Each society is student driven and conducts activities regularly. The societies are geared towards helping the students pursue their creativity and hone their management skills. The students are given a particular budget around which they plan their activities the year round.
The societies operational at IILM are:

Music and Dance
The IILM music and dance society regularly participates in various inter-college events. The activities of the Music Society are handled by the UBS students. Events are organised on a regular basis to showcase the talents of the students.
Social Services
Towards an endeavor to give back to the society in which we live, the Social Service society has been organized at IILM. By being part of this society students acquire the sensitivity to care for others and help the needy. Visits to different places like schools, old age homes, slums etc. are organized for the provision of books, medicine and other useful items. Events like workshop for children of slum dwellers, visiting terminally ill children and spending time with them, organizing an event like play at an old age home, sensitizing people about blood donation are some of the activities performed by them.
By being part of the social service society students understand their role as a change agent. They understand that helping others is not just a work for charity but it allows them to act as a social agent to bring a change in the society by helping the less fortunate people. They feel themselves as part of their surroundings and society rather than just floating in the community as if it were an unknown sea. They learn that they have a good deal to learn from life.
Sports
Society aims at physical development of students beyond the academic excellence outside the classroom. The institute provides facilities, and coaches for various sports like basketball, cricket, volleyball, tennis, football and chess to students. Kits are also provided to team members. We have talented students in different sports who have represented at the State and National Level. The IILM team has participated in various Inter College tournaments held from time to time and have made the Institute proud by winning prizes too.
Photography
This society trains students on the skills of photography. Students regularly put up exhibition to showcase their talents.
Counseling
Based upon its philosophy of holistic development, the institute focuses on both the professional and personal well being of its students. For this purpose Counseling services are provided at the campus from professionally qualified counselors available for this very purpose on campus.
In career counseling we help students in deciding on options for higher studies, both in India and abroad and finding the appropriate course in line with needs, requirements and interests.
Personal counseling is focused on emotional, psychological, or interpersonal issues. The Counselor listens carefully to the students' concerns and helps them reach specific goals. Reaching those goals sometimes means learning new skills, changing behavioral habits, or learning to view the situation differently. Thus the counseling relationship leads to increased self-understanding and more effective behavior of the students. The counseling services are confidential. Information about the students will not be released to any other person without the students' consensus.
Student Workshops
Creative potential has always been the highlight of study at IILM. The constant endeavor is to nurture the innate thought process of the students. The student workshops are specifically designed to help build the feeling of oneness and team spirit between the various batches. New sets of activities keep students interested and also help them learn a lot about themselves and practical applicability of theoretical concepts. Students actively enjoy role- plays, presentations, quiz sessions and article discussion sessions etc conducted by the faculty from time to time.
Parents Programme
In addition to helping students sharpen their skills, IILM also counts parents as a part of the IILM Community and takes initiative to organise various Parent's Programs, where parents attend lectures given by eminent people along with their wards. Parents also meet faculty members to discuss their wards' progress and performance.
The IILM-UBS website has a dedicated section for parents which give them an opportunity to be a part of their ward's educational career chart. By way of this section, the parents can have an access to the academic calendar, faculty and also send a query if need be.
IILM Undergraduate Business School students find that from the first day itself, they are a part of the IILM community -a distinctive strength fostered by rigorous classes, team projects and a strong bonding between the faculty and the students. To foster the belongingness in the students, IILM provides a platform to students to pursue both academic and non academic interests and hence students are expected to actively involved in various societies; we offer counseling facilities and encourage students to be a part of IILM family even after graduating as we have a strong Alumni Association.
