Indira Gandhi Memorial Lecture

IILM Undergraduate Business School was founded nearly fourteen years ago.  To commemorate the pioneering work of the founder  Dr. Kulwant Rai, the 'Indira Gandhi Foundation Lecture' is held at IILM, Lodhi Road every year.  It is an important event wherein eminent personalities of India and abroad share their thoughts with the IILM family. The 5th Indira Gandhi Memorial Lecture was held at IILM,Lodhi Road in 2008.

It was an honor to welcome Shri Wajahat Habibullah, on this auspicious occasion.  Shri Wajahat Habibullah, Chief Information Commissioner of India, is a distinguished public personality and a versatile orator.

In 2007, we had the honour and privilege to welcome Pujya Sant Shri Murari Bapuji. Sant Shri Murari Bapu is well known for his discourses on Ram Katha and Ramayana. In the past, we have had Dr. V. Krishnamurthy, Chairman of National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council, who spoke about the challenges of manufacturing competitiveness in India.

Dr. Krishnamurthy, ex-chairman of BHEL, Maruti and SAIL. We have also had the honour of His Holiness Dalai Lama's visit who had then spoken about the importance of non violence in modern life.

Global Thinkers Award

To get engaged with the global academic community as well as to provide a forum of policy debate on issues of international importance, IILM instituted the Distinguished Global Thinkers Award in 2006. Over the past four years,  IILM has conferred this award to eminent personalities like Lord Bhiku Parekh, Dr MS Swaminathan, Prof CK Prahalad and Lord Meghnad Desai
