In today’s age, businesses cannot be limited to one region or one country. The world is becoming borderless when it comes to business transactions. Products are becoming an integration of inputs from all over the world, be it in the form of ideas, supplies, sales, technology, etc. This makes exposure to international business practices extremely important for those aspiring to become future business owners.

International exposure is a mandatory part of our program at IILM. It takes the form of a global study program, a 4-week study abroad program to one of our partner universities in UK, Canada or in Europe. The aim of the program is to offer students an exposure to international standards of module delivery, to cultures and business practices in foreign countries, and to being in an environment completely different from what they are used to in India.

One of our partners is EM Normandie, which offers modules focussed on the creation of a new business. The modules offered there include An Overview of the Business Environment, What Makes a Successful Entrepreneur?, Sources of Information about Economies and Markets, The Marketing Dimension, Sources of Finance, Logistics, The Family Business Perspective, among others.

Industry visits and cultural visits also form a part of the four-week program. These are conducted in order the provide the students an understanding of differences in business practices as well as cultures between India and France and allow them an opportunity to deal with these differences effectively.

“Thank you IILM for giving me this opportunity to learn and experience the world outside the campus. This global exposure has been, by far, the most enthralling experience in my life. From cross-cultural diversity to different market trends and challenges, I learnt a lot during the study abroad program.”
