Examination and Grading System

IILM Undergraduate School follows Bradford University guidelines for evaluation of academic achievement of students. The grading system under the University of Bradford regulations for the Bachelors' Degree is as follows : 

 

 

 

    Classification Percentage Grade
    I    (1st Class Honours) 70 and above A
    II-i (2nd Class  Honours - 1st Division) 60 – 69 B
    II-ii (2nd Class Honours - 2nd Division) 50 – 59 C
    III (Third Class Honours) 40 – 49 D
    Fail 39 or below F
 
 

Under certain circumstances marks between 35 and 39 are sufficient  for progression. 

Attendance 

At IILM-UBS, the modules are delivered in 12 lectures and 15 tutorials in each semester. Students should have a minimum of  75 percent attendance, failing which they will be debarred from final assessment. Attendance in lectures and tutorials are accorded great degree of importance. 

Examination 

The main and supplementary examination papers are set by the faculty at university of Bradford. The schedule and timing of examinations in India are identical to the university of Bradford. 

The supplementary exams are held in August for those students who have either not passed the main examination or could not appear for it due to genuine reasons. 

Evaluation of course work and answer scripts is carried out by the University of Bradford with reference to an internal and external examiner. 

Recognition 

Students who have successfully completed all the course requirements will be awarded the Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree by the University of Bradford (UK).
