THEATRE AND DRAMATICS SOCIETY

The Theatre and Dramatics Society of IILM UBS has been operational since the academic year 2009-10.

The Theatre and Dramatics Society of IILM UBS has been working with huge enthusiasm and fervor.The Theatre and Dramatics society witnessed its' first successful mega event in the month of Septmeber 2009. The festival called as "Zest 2009, " saw students participating from both the first and the second year. Full of various extra-curicular activities, the highlight of the event was the plau put up by the first and the second year undergraduate students. The central theme of the play was the growing malady of AIDS amongst the youth of India. The play divided into various sub-plots aimed to convey the intense social message using light comedy. The play turned out to be great hit with the audience and others.

The Theatre and Dramatics society has rolled back into action. Towards the end of March 2010, the Society intends to put up a Theatre Festival. A grand event, the event would be a delight to the audience. The society intends to put up two plays. The two plays would be of different genres, catering to different tastes and preferences of the audience. The students actively participating from across the three years, are puuting their best for the Festival. The students are beng trained and rehearsing under the able guidance of Mr. Sumeet Kumar.

In the coming months, the society intends to groom students for various intra and inter college events. The society also intends to conduct regular workhops for the intersted students in near future.
