The 11th Distinguished IILM Global Thinker Award

The 11th IILM Distinguished Global Thinker Award was conferred on Prof Jagdish Sheth, Charles H. Kellstadt Professor of Marketing, Goizueta Business School at Emory University, USA on Monday, January 15, 2018 at IILM, New Delhi. The ceremony was followed by his special lecture on “How the Trump Presidency will transform US trade policy: Implications for India “. The discussion was moderated by Mr Arun Singh, Former Indian Ambassador to United States and a member of our Board of Governors.

The Convocation – Class of 2017

Prof. Bert Wolfs, Academic Dean, SBS Swiss Business School and Ms. Izabela Karanfiloska, Program Manager, SBS Swiss Business School, Switzerland visited IILM and interacted with the undergraduate students annually. Prof. Wolfs also chaired the thesis viva of the Stage 3 students and conferred the degree on students on the day of their convocation i.e. 31st October 2017.

Book Release

On September 15, 2017, IILM hosted the book release of “Loktantra ke Utsav ki ankahi kahani“, Hindi translation of “An Undocumented Wonder: The Great Indian Election Book”  authored by Dr. S.Y.Quraishi, Former Chief Election Commissioner of India and Chairman of IILM Board of Governors. The book was released by the Hon’ble Vice President of India Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu on International Day of Democracy at IILM Lodhi Road Campus. The function was presided by Shri A.K. Joti, Chief Election Commissioner of India. The occasion was graced by several eminent people from the media, government, IILM faculty, and students. Prominent people like the eminent journalist Shri Shekhar Gupta, Prof. Pushpesh Pant, Ms. Sheela Bhatt and Shri Nirmal Pathak were the experts who contributed to the panel discussion that took place after the book launch.

Chat with Diplomats

IILM Institute for Higher Education proudly hosted the prestigious “Chat with Diplomats” event, on the occasion of the “International Day of the Girl Child”, in partnership with the High Commission of Canada, on October 7, 2016, at their Lodhi Road Campus. On this occasion, Mr. Matt Friesen, Head of Advocacy, Canadian High Commission, The Deputy High Commissioner of Canada, Jess Dutton, The Mexican Ambassador, Melba Pria, The Deputy High Commissioner of Australia, Chris Elstoft, His Excellency Ben Joubert, The Ambassador of South Africa, The Ambassador of Finland, Nina Vaskunlahti and The American Ambassador, Richard Verma shared their thoughts and enlightened the audience.

Foreign Faculty

We had a guest lecture for our undergraduate students for Management class by Dr. Sumita Ketkar, Westminster University, UK, on Nov 17, 2016. Dr. Ketkar, addressed the students on Diversity and managing global teams. She helped the student appreciate the difference between diversity and inclusion. Through small exercises, cases and stories, she made the session interesting and informative for the students.
